Project Description:

Parkland County has hired ACP Applied Products to perform pavement maintenance at the following three locations:


• D1 - Rge. Rd. 273(Golden Spike Road), Highway 627 to Spruce Grove Limits

• D2 - Rge. Rd. 265, Twp. Rd. 514 to Birch Ave.

• D3 – Spruce Valley Estates – Spruce Valley Dr, Valley Rd


Scope of Work:

The work includes application of an asphalt binder (oil), followed by a thin layer of aggregate (gravel). The roadway is then packed and swept. All locations will then have another application of an asphalt binder (oil), to seal in the aggregate. Locations that have roadway lines will be reestablished. There is no excavation, and all work is completed on the surface of the existing roadway.


Schedule:

Estimated Start is June 4th, 2025

Anticipated Order: Spruce Valley Estates, RR 265, RR 273(Golden Spike Road)

Updates:

November 20, 2025: All project locations have been completed for the 2025 season. Tentative project locations are listed below.

September 5, 2025: Minor fogging deficiency in Spruce Valley Estates and will be addressed as soon as possible.

August 20, 2025: Deficiencies on Golden Spike Road have been addressed, contractor to address fogging deficiency in Spruce Valley Estates as soon as possible.

July 15, 2025: Contractor has completed fogging in all locations. Line painting is completed on RR 273(Golden Spike Rd) from Spruce grove Town Limits to Hwy 627. The turning arrows on Golden Spike and Intersection of Hwy 627 are due to be completed in the week of July 14th and minor fog deficiency addressed in Spruce Valley Estates the following week.

June 26, 2025: Contractor had completed seal coat application for all locations on June 15, 2025. Tack coat applications to start in the week of June 30 with line painting on RR 273 (Golden Spike Road) to follow.

May 29, 2025: Contractor anticipated to mobilize to sit June 4th with work to commence on June 5th,2025
