Consultation has concluded

Project Description:

Parkland County performs a Graded Aggregate Seal Coat (GASC) annually as part of a road maintenance treatment to prolong the life of the existing asphalt surfaces within the county.

Scope of Work:

The work includes cleaning the surface to prepare it for an application of asphalt binder (oil), followed by a thin layer of aggregate (gravel).  The roadway is then packed with rollers and swept to remove excess aggregate from the surface. All locations will then have another application of an asphalt binder (oil), to seal in the aggregate.  Locations that have roadway lines will be reestablished.  There is no excavation, and all work is completed on the surface of the existing roadway.
