Public Hearing Bylaw 2025-05: Acheson Industrial Area Structure Plan Amendment

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
In accordance with the requirements of Section 606 of the Municipal Government Act, as amended, the Council of Parkland County has scheduled a Public Hearing regarding the proposed adoption of the following Bylaw:

Proposed Bylaw 2025-05: Acheson Industrial Area Structure Plan Amendment.
Parkland County has received an application to amend the Acheson Industrial Area Structure Plan (ASP) Bylaw 2020-13 to update lands located on portions of S.W. 29-52-26-4 and Lot 1 and 2, Block 1, Plan 032 1486 currently identified as “Constrained Lands” to “Commercial/Light Industrial”. The proposed ASP amendment include map amendments to Map 6 – Future Land Use Concept and Map 8- Transportation Network. A related amendment to Parkland County’s Land Use Bylaw (Bylaw 2017-18) is also being proposed.
Hearing Procedure
This is a formal Public Hearing and Council is prepared to hear and receive formal submissions and presentations (verbal or written) from those who wish to speak to the proposed Bylaw. Written submissions or presentations may either be submitted in advance to Planning & Development Services by 4:00 P.M. on March 7, 2025, or submitted at the commencement of the Public Hearing.
Anyone wishing to make a verbal presentation to Council must notify governanceagendas@parklandcounty.com(External link) in advance of the Public Hearing by 4:00 P.M. on March 7, 2025. Verbal presentations at the Public Hearing will be limited to 10 minutes. Anyone wishing to make a verbal presentation who has not made prior arrangements may be allocated a time at the commencement of the Public Hearing. Council advises that this is your last chance to comment on the proposed Bylaw, as Council cannot receive more submissions after the Public Hearing is closed.
