Project Description:

ASBC (Asphalt Stabilized Base Course Aka. Cold mix Asphalt) Road surfacing for various locations throughout the County. 

This work is part of the Asphalt Surfacing Program and the Subdivision Preservation Program as outlined in the Capital Infrastructure Program found here: https://www.parklandcounty.com/roads-transportation/current-construction/.

 


Scope of Work: 

Roads or subdivisions scheduled to start will have notice signs posted in the area where work is to take place. Work is performed in stages, the segment of road will be oiled, the main road will be surfaced with ASBC with the approaches to be completed with intersections.  The finished surface of the road will have another layer of oil placed towards the end of the construction season.

There will be some delays please be patient and obey signs and flaggers.

Updates:

Nov 11, 2025:  Construction activities have been completed for the 2025 construction season.   The 2026 construction season includes the following tentative locations:

September 18, 2025: Meadow Run Estates Cul de Sac and Meadow run Thru Rd have been completed.  The next location to be surfaced is Twp 534 from RR 274 to 273.  Expected surfacing date is 1st to 2nd week of October.

September 5, 2025: RR 25 from Hwy 16 to Yellowhead Estates and Aspen Hill Subdivision are complete.

August 19, 2025: RR 30, from Hwy 16 to south Entrance Canterbury Estates and Yellowhead Estates subdivision is complete.  The surfacing crew is now surfacing RR 25 from Hwy 16 to Yellowhead Estates.

July 23, 2025: RR 32 from Hwy. 16 (Yellow Head) to Westland Park is complete

July 15 2025: Additional Surfacing completed to date, Spanish Oaks and East Service Road 263 from Twp. 513A to Spanish Oaks, Twp. 515A from Hwy 60 to RR 265 and Spruce Hill Park is complete.

June 25, 2025: The surfacing project locations that are completed to date are Beaverbrook Park, Devonridge Estates, Silver Bell Estates, Twp. 512, RR 260 to Silver Bell Estates, and Edgewood Acres the surfacing crew is presently in Spanish Oaks and are approximately 50% complete.
