Highway 60 Twinning and Overpass Advancing

The Government of Alberta’s 2026 Budget confirms a $116 Million investment in a major Parkland County project over three years. The Highway 60 project includes twinning the section between Highways 16 and 16A and constructing a rail overpass to reduce delays and improve safety along this key trade corridor. These upgrades will better support the heavy and highload traffic serving the Acheson Industrial Area– one of Alberta’s most important key economic engines.
