The Government of Alberta’s 2026 Budget confirms continued investment in a major transportation project in Parkland County. With a $20 Million Provincial investment scheduled to begin in 2026, Highway16 Improvements are moving to the design phase on a new interchange at Range Road 20. Planned intersection improvements will enhance safety and improve traffic flow along this high-speed corridor.
Parkland County Mayor Rod Shaigec welcomed the budget announcement and thanked the Government of Alberta for their pledged support.
“These investments are crucial for ensuring safer travel and supporting the people and industries that rely on our highways every day,” said Mayor Shaigec. “On behalf of the County, I express our sincere appreciation and look forward to continued collaboration as these projects move ahead.”
