Public Hearing Bylaw 2025-08: Parkland County Land Use Bylaw Amendment

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
In accordance with the requirements of Section 606 of the Municipal Government Act, as amended, the Council of Parkland County has scheduled a Public Hearing regarding the proposed adoption of the following Bylaw:

Parkland County is proposing redistricting, map, and text amendments to the County’s Land Use Bylaw (2017-18).
The purpose of the proposed amendments are:
- To redistrict existing lands (six quarter sections located south of Amendment Area 1) designated as Resource Extraction (RE) to the Highvale End Land Use Direct Control (DC) District.
- Allow “Computer, Electronic, Data Processing Services” to be a permitted land use on quarter sections (highlighted with blue boundary), as shown in Figures 1 and 2.

Hearing Procedure
This is a formal Public Hearing and Council is prepared to hear and receive formal submissions and presentations (verbal or written) from those who wish to speak to the proposed Bylaw. Written submissions or presentations may either be submitted in advance to Planning & Development Services by 4:00 P.M. on March 7, 2025, or submitted at the commencement of the Public Hearing.
Anyone wishing to make a verbal presentation to Council must notify governanceagendas@parklandcounty.com(External link) in advance of the Public Hearing by 4:00 P.M. on March 7, 2025. Verbal presentations at the Public Hearing will be limited to 10 minutes. Anyone wishing to make a verbal presentation who has not made prior arrangements may be allocated a time at the commencement of the Public Hearing. Council advises that this is your last chance to comment on the proposed Bylaw, as Council cannot receive more submissions after the Public Hearing is closed.
