Project Description:
Following the findings of the 2025 Rolling Meadows Drainage Study, the County has officially moved forward with evaluating targeted flood mitigation solutions to reduce flooding severity within the subdivision. The primary focus of this initiative is the proposed construction of a stormwater diversion ditch along the southern and eastern perimeter of the community, a measure designed to divert excess runoff around the subdivision.
Scope of Work:
To ensure the project’s achievability, the initial phase will consist of a comprehensive feasibility study, which includes geotechnical and environmental field investigations, alongside essential coordination with utility companies and stakeholders. Should this assessment confirm that the diversion ditch is both practical and effective, the project will transition into detailed design later in 2026, with full-scale construction currently slated to begin in 2027.
You may see the project team walking within and around the Rolling Meadows subdivision during the design period.
Schedule:
Feasibility Study Est. Start and Completion dates: June 2026 – September 2026
Design Est. Start and Completion dates: September 2026 – November 2026
Schedule can change without notice, follow page for monthly updates.
