Project Description:
Reconstruction of Twp 524 (Mink Lake Road) between Hwy 770 and RR 25 with access improvement to Star Lake. Intersection improvements on Twp 524 at RR 25 and RR 24.
Scope of Work:
Complete 2023 deficiencies, second lift paving (for intersections, road, and approaches), landscaping, paving road markings, and installation of road signs & power poles.

Updates:
June 25, 2024: Construction work will be shutting down for the Canada Day long weekend starting Friday afternoon and resuming the morning of Tuesday July 2. Please follow all posted construction safety signs including reduced speed during this time as there are pavement surface irregularities. Access to Star Lake will still be available.
June 20, 2024: Constructions activities continue with Approaches and the intersection at RR24 being prepped for Paving. Paving operations to start this weekend and to continue through the following week. Please watch out for workers and obey construction safety signs. Expected periodic delays.
June 13, 2024: Contractor has moved onto site, construction activities will include landscaping, fencing, and seeding. The approaches and the intersection at RR 24 will be paved. Mink lake Road from Hwy. 770 to RR 25 will have another lift of asphalt. RR 25 from the north work limit to the south work limit will have another lift of asphalt. Please watch out for workers and obey construction signs, there will be periodic delays.
May 14, 2024: Telus lines are connected, and service is now on the new lines. All new power poles have been installed and lines are operational. Construction activities, starting with landscaping, is scheduled to start late May. Please watch out for workers and obey construction signs.
April 2024: No Update.
March 2024: Construction activities to start in early Spring.
February 2024: TELUS contractor installing TELUS line, Fortis relocating power poles.
January 2024: No work taking place, TELUS line to be installed, Fortis poles to be relocated.
