Project Description:

As part of an overall wastewater rehabilitation program in Wabamun, a Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) Contractor will be hired to install liners within the Hamlet.

Cured-in-Place-Pipe Lining (CIPP) is a trenchless method of sewer rehabilitation. It requires little or no digging and significantly less time to complete than other sewer repair methods. It is suitable for repairing both short and long runs of pipes that do not need to be upsized.

Scope of Work:

Approximately four (4) kilometers of wastewater mains will be rehabilitated using CIPP technologies. The scope of work includes pre-inspection and pipe preparation, liner design and supply, installation of liners, temporary flow control, reinstatement of service laterals, post lining and warranty camera inspections.

Schedule:

Insituform is scheduled to mobilize and begin pre-cleaning and inspection of the sanitary sewer mains on July 11, 2024. This phase of the work is expected to take approximately 1 month to complete. The liner installation phase is scheduled to begin in mid-September.
