Project Description:
Rehabilitation of Wastewater System in Acheson Zone 3 with the goal of reducing the amount of inflow (rainwater) and infiltration (groundwater) that enters the system to reduce the risk of system surcharging.
Scope of Work:
Full investigation of inflow and infiltration sources including inspections and vapour testing for leaks and cross connections. Primarily trenchless repair of manholes and mains in 2026. Will be some open cut excavations where necessary.
Schedule:
Est. Start date: May 2025 – November 2026
August 11-13, 2025: Dry weather pending, Vapour Testing to look for leaks and cross connections – affected properties will receive several notices prior to testing
2026: Construction throughout year

All of Acheson Zone 3 is being investigated; further updates of repair locations will be posted when design complete and budget approved.
