Wireless Internet Rebate Program – Application for Eligibility

Please note, to be eligible for the Wireless Internet Rebate Program, you must first complete CIRA Internet Performance Tests on five consecutive days demonstrating that your speeds are consistently below 50 mbps download/10 mbps upload. Instructions for completing your required internet performance tests are below. These tests must be completed to demonstrate poor internet connection before you submit your application. If you are unable to supply the required speed tests, you may alternatively submit an application using the form below, including a declaration that you are unable to establish a wired internet connection at your property.

Applications can be made using the online form below.

How to complete your required CIRA Internet Performance Test:

  • Press Start to start to begin. You can either enable your location search or enter your address to confirm your location on the map.

  • Once you confirm your address, click 'That's Right! Start Test'.
  • Once the test is completed, continue to the Connectivity Survey and click Next.

  • Confirm if you are taking the Connectivity Survey at your Home or Business location. Click Next and choose your connection type. You can enter Don't know at the top of the choices for the download speed, upload speed and monthly data cap. Select your level of satisfaction with your current service.
  • **Important Step - at the end of the Connectivity Survey, when it asks you to provide any additional comments, please enter your municipal address here so that we can connect the tests with your application. Sample municipal address: 26-53327 RGE RD 15, or if not in a subdivision, enter like this: 5309A HWY 779

  • Hit submit. The municipal address on your speed test will be cross-referenced with the same municipal address listed on your application form.
  • Please repeat the above process each day for 5 days in a row. If possible, please submit tests during peak internet usage hours (generally between 5.00pm and 11.00pm) to get the most accurate averages for your speed tests.
  • Alternatively, if you are unable to supply speed tests, select the applicable answer to declare your inability to provide speed tests on the application form below.
