Entwistle Area Structure Plan (ASP) Rescinding
Parkland County is modernizing its approach to Area Structure Plans (ASP), including rescinding the Entwistle ASP, to help make the County's planning process more consistent, flexible, and user-friendly for residents, landowners, businesses and applicants.
The goals of the project are to:
1. Align ASP policies to the County ’s plans and initiatives;
2. Streamline services to reduce overall red tape;
3. Make ASPs living documents that are flexible and adaptable; and
4. Create policies and plans that are user friendly.

Please be advised that the Public Hearing is the last chance to comment on the proposed Bylaw, as Council cannot receive more submissions after the Public Hearing is closed.
How Does the Rescinding Process Work?
The Entwistle Area Structure Plan is a municipal Bylaw. To rescind a municipal Bylaw, a new Bylaw must be passed requiring Three Readings and a Public Hearing at County Council. Bylaw 2026-29: Rescinding Entwistle ASP & Amendments, passed First Reading at Council on September 8th, 2026. Passing First Reading means that the County can now advertise the Public Hearing date and time.
