Big Lake Area Information Session
Project Description: To inform residents of projects taking place in the Big Lake area around 231st (RR 261) North of Highway 16. These projects are a combination of City of Edmonton, Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors (ATEC) and Parkland County.
Parkland County is able to share certain information regarding City of Edmonton developments; however, not all project details are provided to the County.

Parkland Village Community Centre
60 Parkland Gate Rd, Spruce Grove, AB
5:00pm to 7:00pm.
Scope of Work:
City of Edmonton - Hawksridge Subdivision development - Stockpiled material will be moved off-site between June and July 2026. Site grading is scheduled for fall 2026, with storm pond construction planned for winter 2026–2027. Underground work will take place in spring 2027. 231st Avenue will be used for mobilizing equipment and hauling materials to and from the site.
City of Edmonton - Kinglet Subdivision development - There is currently no work taking place that will affect 231st Avenue.
City of Edmonton - 231st reconstruction - Reconstruction may begin as early as 2027.
ATEC - 231st Access Removal at Highway 16 – No schedule to date
Parkland County - Lakeshore Estates Road Reconstruction – Assessment and design are planned for 2026, with construction expected to begin in 2027.
Parkland County - Country Squire Estates – Storm Water Rehabilitation - Assessment and design occurred in 2025 with construction in early 2026.

March 18, 2026: The information session will be held on Thursday, April 9th 5:00-7:00pm at the Parkland Village Community Hall located at #60 53222 Range Road 272 (60 Parkland Gate Road). North of Highway 16 on Century Road / Range Road 272.
